March Member Meet-Up: Mental Health for Helpers at George Latimer Central Library

  • George Latimer Central Library 90 West 4th Street Saint Paul, MN, 55102 United States (map)

Recently current events have had to that stress level both in work and life outside of work. Are you having trouble dealing with this stress or just wanting to learn more about ways to improve your mental health? Join YNPN-TC as we welcome Christa Marincel to talk about mental health in the nonprofit world.

Christa Marincel is a marriage and family therapist who works with teens, couples, and families, with a focus on strengthening relationships and supporting emotional resilience. Before entering the therapy field, Christa worked in nonprofit community mediation, an experience that shaped her understanding of conflict, burnout, and the unique pressures facing people who show up for others every day. Through both therapy and mediation, Christa has seen how helpers often hold stress quietly while continuing to support their communities—especially during times of heightened uncertainty and strain. Her work is grounded in the belief that sustainable care for others begins with compassionate, intentional care for ourselves. Christa brings a warm, collaborative approach to conversations about boundaries, emotional regulation, and self‑support. She is passionate about creating spaces where helpers can reconnect with their own needs, restore clarity, and remember that they, too, deserve support.
